More than 160 people have died from heavy rains and floods in Western Europe.

Heavy rains and floods that hit western Germany and the Belgian-Dutch border have so far killed 141 people in Germany alone.

Hundreds of people are missing or unreachable in Germany, foreign media said.

The Belgian Crisis Center said the floods confirmed the death of 27 people in the country.

103 people who could not be reached were classified.
