The Palme d'Or in Cannes this year goes to the French film "Titane".

The Norwegian Renate Reinsve was honored as best female actress for her role in “The Worst Person in the World” by Norwegian director Joachim Trier.
The two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster from the USA was honored with the Golden Palm of Honor at the beginning of the festival.
This year there were 24 films in competition on the Côte d'Azur, four of which were directed by women. The festival took place under Corona conditions after it had to be canceled last year. Most recently, in 2019, the South Korean director Bong Joon Ho received the Palme d'Or for his film "Parasite".
