The company said that Biden's words about helping social networks spread misinformation about COVID-19 and vaccines are contrary to generally known facts.

“As the number of COVID-19 cases is on the rise in America, the Biden administration has decided to blame several American social media platforms for this ... we need a community-wide approach to end this pandemic.

And facts, not statements, should help with this, ”the statement says.

Facebook cited statistics according to which, since January 2021, the number of social network users who are supporters of vaccination, "increased by 10-15 percentage points" and is currently 85%.

In addition, more than 18 million posts containing fakes about COVID-19 have been deleted on social networks since the beginning of the pandemic.

“President Biden has set a goal of reaching 70% of Americans vaccinated by July 4th.

Facebook is not to blame for the failure to achieve this goal, ”the company concluded.

The American leader said earlier that platforms such as Facebook are "killing people" by allowing misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines to spread online.
