“It would be completely inappropriate, since neither Estonia nor the EU recognize the result of the presidential elections in Belarus, which took place in August last year under the sign of massive falsifications,” TASS quoted her as saying.
In early July, Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid appointed Jaak Lensment as the new ambassador to Belarus.
Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Kallas said that she considers it important for the republic to have a diplomatic mission in Minsk.
Earlier, Lithuania turned to the UN Commissioner because of the situation with migrants arriving through Belarus.
