Total vaccination does not dispense with quarantine.

In any case not when you arrive from France;

and this applies to everyone, including the British.

The rise of the Beta variant on French soil worries the authorities across the Channel.

For the moment, severe cases are rarer thanks to vaccination, very high in the UK, 68% of adults have received two doses.

But this variant from South Africa is said to be more resistant to the vaccine.

This decision remains surprising, because the presence of the strain is growing in France certainly, but on the island of Reunion.

The French response was quick.

It requires a negative test done 24 hours before arrival on the territory for the unvaccinated.

The Minister of Health, who has just tested positive, even expects 100,000 cases per day this summer.
