Director Marco Bellocchio received the Palme d'Or of honor at Cannes
, in the closing ceremony of the 74th edition of the festival. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to him by the director Paolo Sorrentino. The award to Bellocchio - who presented the feature film 'Marx can wait' at Cannes, which tells the drama of his twin brother's suicide - was accompanied by a standing ovation from the audience.
