The Norwegian Renate Reinsve won the prize for best actress at the closing of the 74th Cannes Film Festival, for her performance in "Julie in 12 chapters" by Joachim Trier, in which she plays a young woman in search of herself.

"This award goes to so many," said the 33-year-old actress, revelation of the festival, in tears.

"It was magnificent, a beautiful experience," she added, paying tribute to a jury she "admires so much".

Her electric interpretation, but as stunning in moments of comedy as in moments of drama, which chronicles the several years of this woman's life, is strikingly natural.

And for good reason: "The character of Julie is so close to me. I can completely identify with her because I have experienced similar things," she told AFP.

She has mainly distinguished herself in small roles in cinema and theater.

She had also had a modest role, one line, in the film "Oslo August 31" (2012), by the same director.
