"The law ... defines the issues of ensuring and organizing the work of the NTRC, remuneration of its members and early termination of their powers," the publication says.
The text of the document also spelled out the procedure for submitting candidates for positions in the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting.
For a "more transparent appointment of members" of the NTSD, the head of state has the right to organize a competition commission to select candidates for vacant positions according to his quota and appoint them by his decree.
In addition, according to the law, the National Council on television will be able to conduct unscheduled on-site inspections in the prescribed manner: the regulator must notify the TV channel about the inspection five days in advance.
Last week, the Ukrainian TV channel "Dom" in the splash screen of one of the issues of the project "Russian Diary" showed a map of Russia with Crimea.
In this regard, a check has begun on the channel.
