As part of the "Africa2020" season, Cartooning for Peace celebrates the press cartoon of the African continent in the heart of Paris.

Twelve of the most emblematic representatives of this strange profession have come together to celebrate press freedom through meetings at the Forum des images and an exhibition at the Forum des Halles.

Among them, the Algerian cartoonist Dilem, who signs this dark drawing on the withdrawal of American troops in Afghanistan.

While Joe Biden says the US withdrawal will be completed on August 31, the Taliban is gaining ground.

The latter said Friday that they had taken control of 85% of the territory.

Cartooning for Peace is an international network of cartoonists committed to promoting, through the universality of press cartoons, freedom of expression, human rights and mutual respect between populations of different cultures or beliefs.
