"Despite the difficult situation, thanks to the coordinated actions of firefighters, rescuers, forestry services, military, volunteers and local residents in Yakutia, no transfer of fire to settlements was allowed," RIA Novosti reported.
Denisov noted that within two months firefighters move from the region to the region of Yakutia, about 4.5 thousand tons of water were dumped on the fires.
Earlier it became known that 134 forest fires were recorded in Yakutia on an area of more than 858 thousand hectares.
