For a little more than a week, the municipality has investigated the suspicions of serious misconduct at the accommodation after an employee sounded the alarm.

The investigation shows that this is not a serious misconduct or a risk of serious misconduct.

And thus the incident is not reported to IVO, the Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate.

 - We are obviously very relieved about this.

It is unfortunate that it has caused concern for many, but we must take all reports seriously.

It was also good that we were able to complete the investigation so quickly and state that there are no irregularities linked to this report, says Joakim Nyman, acting social director at Västervik municipality.

Back in service

Joakim Nyman tells SVT Nyheter Småland that none of the residents have been harmed in any way, but that it has been more about cooperation issues and routines.

During the investigation, several employees were fired - they are no longer suspended.
