The Emergency and Crisis Management Committee in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Center for Public Health, has adopted preventive and precautionary measures for the blessed Eid Al-Adha, in order to ensure the preservation of public health and the safety of community members from the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic, and its variants.

The committee recommended, according to what the Abu Dhabi Media Office indicated, to avoid gatherings, family visits, and places that may witness crowding, and called for the use of video communication means to congratulate family, relatives and acquaintances on the occasion of Eid.

The committee warned against distributing Eids in cash to children, and circulating them among individuals, pointing out that they represent one of the possible means of transmission of "Covid-19" mutants.

She called for refraining from this habit until the pandemic is over, and to resort to safe electronic alternatives.

The committee also stressed the need to follow all precautionary measures during this occasion, as on other normal days, including washing hands frequently, wearing a mask, and social distancing.

Updated procedures have been adopted to enter the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, starting from Monday, as part of proactive efforts and precautionary measures to limit the spread of virus mutants, as it will be allowed to enter the emirate within 48 hours for those who received a negative result for a nasal swab examination (PCR), and within 24 hours for those who received a negative result for a DPI examination. .

Persons who entered the emirate by means of a PCR examination must perform a PCR examination on the fourth day of entry in the event of a stay of four consecutive days or more, in addition to a PCR examination on the eighth day of entry in the event of a stay of eight consecutive days or more.

According to the new procedures, the (DPI) examination cannot be used to enter Abu Dhabi consecutive times, and the procedures will apply to vaccinated and non-vaccinated citizens and residents, and fines will be imposed on those who fail to conduct the necessary examinations.

In accordance with the protocol announced by the National Authority for Emergencies, Crisis and Disasters, regarding the prayers and celebrations of Eid al-Adha, the doors of chapels and mosques will open 15 minutes before the start of the prayer, and the prayer will be held, provided that the duration of the sermon does not exceed 15 minutes, while adhering to the precautionary measures, and spacing stickers will be placed on the designated sites. To pray in the outer courtyards of the mosques, with the possibility of making use of the parks and public parking spaces adjacent to the mosques.

Mosques will also be closed immediately after prayer and will not be allowed to sit, with the continued closure of service facilities (such as toilets, ablution places and water refrigerators), in addition to the continuation of suspending the opening of mosques and chapels on external roads and fuel stations, with the need to avoid gatherings and shaking hands before and after the Eid prayer in all its forms. The authority stressed that the state is moving forward towards sustainable recovery, and we see the gradual return of activities to daily life, as the opening came according to comprehensive strategies and fruitful efforts made by various vital sectors.
