Turkey expects to achieve Gülen's extradition from the United States under Biden

In Turkey, Gulen is accused of involvement in the 2016 coup attempt.

"Our competent authorities are in close contact with the American authorities, so I hope that this (extradition -

) will someday be done," the diplomat told RIA Novosti.

Ankara wishes to extradite Gulen and his followers and believes in such a possibility, the ambassador added.

He expressed the hope that this will happen under the current administration.

In November 2018, NBC, citing unnamed senior officials, reported that the American authorities were considering options for the legal expulsion of Fethullah Gulen from the country.

In July 2017, Gülen announced that he had no plans to leave the United States if extradited to Turkey.
