Up to now, the cumulative number of deaths in the country has exceeded 1,000.

  According to a report from the Ministry of Health of Cambodia on the 15th, the country reported 996 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia that day, 813 new cases were cured and discharged, and 39 new deaths.

Among the newly confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, 167 were imported confirmed cases and 829 were community-transmitted infections.

So far, a total of 64,000 cases have been diagnosed nationwide in Cambodia, a total of 56,000 cases have been cured, and a total of 1,025 cases have died.

  The Ministry of Health of Cambodia said that the new crown epidemic broke out in the Tieqiaotou market in Phnom Penh recently, and at least 20 vendors and security guards have confirmed the diagnosis.

According to the report from the government's working group for tracking suspected cases, after the three security guards were diagnosed, since the 13th, all vendors have been required to be tested for the new crown virus, of which 17 vendors have been diagnosed.

  On the same day, King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia sent relevant government officials to donate relief items to 446 disabled people in Phnom Penh to help them alleviate the difficulties encountered in daily life.

Government officials conveyed the king’s greetings to the disabled and encouraged them to follow the epidemic prevention measures instructed by the Ministry of Health in their daily lives, protect themselves and participate in curbing the spread of the epidemic.

  In addition, in response to the rapid increase in imported cases abroad, the Cambodian Otto Meanchey Provincial Government decided on the 15th to build two more isolation centers to meet the isolation needs.

The spokesman of the Otto Meanchey Provincial Government, Dilardo, said that since the beginning of July, about 400 to 500 people have entered the province through the Ottoman port every day.

After the above-mentioned isolation center is completed, it can accommodate more than 3,000 people.
