They stressed the increase in the phenomenon with the approach of the blessed Eid al-Adha, calling for tighter traffic control procedures against violators.

Abu Dhabi Police warned drivers against random parking on the roads and not complying with traffic and traffic laws, stressing that drivers who stop behind vehicles or cause traffic obstructions will be fined 500 dirhams.

In detail, drivers complained about the random parking of shoppers' vehicles on internal roads in shopping and restaurant areas, including Madinat Zayed, Khalidiya and Defense Street stores, noting that they obstruct traffic and congestion on the roads.

Muhammad Othman said that the high temperature in the daytime during the current period has prompted many to shop during the evening, which has increased the intensity of vehicle traffic on the roads, especially since the vast majority are now accepting to buy their needs of gifts and clothes, in preparation for travel, or For the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

He pointed out that some shopping areas have no vacant parking spaces, forcing some drivers to stop randomly in front of shops and restaurants, to buy their needs without getting off the vehicle, but he does not pay attention to what may cause obstruction to the movement of others.

Sultan Ahmed agrees with him, who confirms that most restaurants currently allocate a lot of employees to serve the customers of the "Take Away" and meet their requests from the vehicle, "which is what is seen with large numbers of vehicles lining up, randomly in a narrow vicinity."

He adds that "the problem becomes greater, when the shop or restaurant is at an internal road bend, as lining up of vehicles obstructs entry and exit, and causes congestion," suggesting toughening the penalty for random parking, and encouraging individuals to implement their requests electronically, through the available smart applications.

Drivers indicated that they faced several problems, due to random parking behind their vehicles in parking lots, obstruction of traffic, due to shoppers making purchases, and not giving priority to crossing at internal road intersections, pointing out the importance of tightening traffic control for perpetrators of these behaviors.

For its part, Abu Dhabi Police warned motorists of six types of wrong parking for vehicles, which include parking at fire pits, parking behind vehicles, which impedes their movement, parking at crossroads, parking during accidents, parking in “people of determination” parking spots, and standing in a bend. The Road.

It cautioned that wrong parking is a problem faced by all road users, as some drivers leave their vehicles anywhere on the street without observing the regulations and traffic laws or other drivers, as some of them use special parking spaces for people of determination and places where parking is prohibited, and emergency parking, to park their vehicle, without Taking into account what the driver, pedestrians and children may be exposed to as a result of the wrong parking on the road.
