“On the instructions of the president, the government today will allocate over 200 billion rubles for a one-time payment of 10 thousand rubles for all schoolchildren from six to 18 years old, including future first-graders,” he said at a cabinet meeting.

Mishustin noted that children with disabilities over 18 who are still studying will also receive payments.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov said that the majority of Russian families with school-age children will receive the payment on August 16.

On July 2, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a lump sum payment of 10,000 rubles to families with school-age children.

The Russian leader proposed to establish it in his message to the Federal Assembly on April 21.
