It was at the beginning of June this year that a police patrol tried to stop a man, in his 50s, on a moped in the district of Ryd in Linköping.

In connection with that, the man drove over one of the police officers.

The man, according to the verdict, had amphetamine in his blood at the time.

The man was also charged with being found with amphetamine in Linköping on two other occasions.

On Thursday, the man was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison for aggravated assault on an official and drug offenses.

In addition to the prison sentence, the man must also pay damages of SEK 17,678 to the police.
