The portrait of the serial killer drawn by the Kenyan police after his interrogation shivers down your spine. He acts "

alone

", "

in the most ruthless way

" possible, writes the direction of criminal investigations on his Twitter account, going so far as to "

suck the veins

" of his victims to "

empty them of their blood

", sometimes before to strangle them.

During his questioning, he admitted to the murder of a dozen teenagers in the country over the past five years.

The first, a 12-year-old girl, was abducted in 2016 in a county east of Nairobi.

The killer was then 15 years old.

Faced with investigators, the young man did not apologize.

On the contrary, he declared that he had taken "

great pleasure

 " in killing his victims.

Wave of missing children

The remains of some of them were found, "

 thrown into thickets

", or "

abandoned in the sewers of the city

 ".

Others are still not found.

The arrest comes as the country is experiencing a worrying wave of child disappearances - around two a day in recent weeks.

This Thursday, the main newspapers of the country have also published in the front page the photo of the killer, wearing a football shirt spotted with blood.

Justice has so far decided to place him in detention for 30 days in order to continue his investigations.
