• Venezuela They arrest Freddy Guevara and Guaidó denounces having been "momentarily kidnapped"

The opposition leader

Freddy Guevara is

already sleeping in the sinister Helicoide prison, the prison of the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (Sebin).

This was decided by one of the Chavista judges in the middle of the morning, after the deputy of the legitimate National Assembly (AN) in 2015 was brought before the courts after being

disappeared for two and a half days

.

It was useless for Guevara to be one of the direct negotiators with Nicolás Maduro, who sought to open

a new dialogue table in Mexico

under the mediation of Norway and with the approval of the international community. The judge ordered his deprivation of liberty on charges of terrorism, criminal association and

treason

. The only evidence provided is a crude montage of several WhatsApp conversations by opposition leaders, who allegedly conspired with the gangs of thugs that terrorized Caracas last week during the latest outbreak of urban warfare in the capital.

"Guevara has asked us to convey to Venezuela and the world that he knew perfectly well the risks involved in the work he was doing to rescue democracy," announced defense attorney Omar Mora.

Obstacles to dialogue

"The negotiation has received a stick to the lamp," denounced Monsignor Baltazar Porras, the influential Catholic Archbishop of Mérida. He is not the only victim of the revolutionary onslaught that aims to make it difficult for the opposition to participate in the dialogue. Human rights activist Javier Tarazona is serving

two weeks in prison

after revealing the links between Chavismo and the Colombian guerrillas that roam freely in the border territories and after denouncing the execution of a peasant family. Even his mother was detained for several hours yesterday, after her house was raided by the revolutionary forces. The same happened with the headquarters of the foundation of Tarazona, FundaRedes.

In the last hours there have also been the arrests of the neighborhood activist Jairo Pérez, who works in the areas controlled by the criminal gangs of Caracas, and of Oraima Guillén, of Voluntad Popular (VP) as Guevara.

The revolution has targeted several leaders of VP, the party of the president in charge Juan Guaidó and former political prisoner Leopoldo López.

The Sebin persecutes several of them in Caracas and also harasses their relatives.

The excuse on this occasion is the

urban war that Caracas suffers

and the supposed connection with gang leaders such as El Koki, El Vampis or El Loco Leo, who, on the other hand, remain free.

Revolutionary propaganda insists on the links between the opposition and thugs, when they have been roaming freely for years in the neighborhoods of Caracas, even protected by the "territories of peace" created by Chavismo.

Propaganda parallel to that carried out by the Bolivarian regime on the social outbreak in Cuba.

For Diosdado Cabello, number 2 of the revolution, the images of people in the streets of Cuba were a media montage taking advantage of the celebrations for the America's Cup and the European Championship.
