The Central Region Police Department of the Sharjah Police General Command recorded a remarkable decrease in worrisome crimes by 50% during the first half of this year, compared to the same period last year.

Colonel Hamad Abdullah Al Riyami, Acting Director of the Central Region Police Department, confirmed that the Sharjah Police General Command is working according to a clear and specific strategy to reduce and address crime, through its efforts in strengthening preventive measures, and intensifying security awareness at its various levels and forms among members of society. In addition, Colonel Hamad Abdullah Al Riyami inaugurated the “Tasjeel Village” in the Al Dhaid area, in cooperation with the “Enoc Registration Center” and the Sharjah Asset Management Holding Company, to provide all vehicle and driver licensing services easily and conveniently to the residents of the area.

He stressed that the opening of the new village is a qualitative addition to the efforts the Sharjah Police dedicates to its customers in various regions of the emirate, where customers from the central region can apply for services related to licensing vehicles and drivers, which saves them time and effort, adding that Tasjeel village includes a vehicle inspection lane.
