In the plagiarism affair surrounding Annalena Baerbock's book “Jetzt. How we are renewing our country ”, the co-author of the Greens' candidate for chancellor, Michael Ebmeyer, spoke up for the first time. He announced on Facebook that he had nothing to do with the objectionable passages in Annalena Baerbock's book. There was also no falling out between him and the Green politician. “My role in creating the book was that of an obstetrician. It was agreed from the start, and that's how it stayed. I was not involved in the final version. "

Ebmeyer finds the allegations against Annalena Baerbock "hypocritical". It is not a textbook, but rather “a presentation of the agenda with which the candidate comes up” and an overview of her path into politics. Ebmeyer says there is a campaign against Annalena Baerbock in which his name is also being dragged into the mud. One should not lose sight of the fact that it is Annalena Baerbock and the Greens who are the only party to have a plan for climate protection - the most urgent political task for the next few years, as the ghostwriter believes. According to the expert Stefan Weber, there are now more than “fifty plagiarism sites” in Baerbock's book. In an interview with this newspaper he announced that there would definitely be a final report.

To Annalena Baerbock's book “Jetzt. How we renew our country ”there had been massive criticism. To date, plagiarism specialists have found more than fifty passages that had been borrowed or copied elsewhere - without citing the source. The publisher intends to add the source references to the next edition.
