July 14, 2021 At Pescara airport the restriction measures were taken for all passengers on the flight that arrived yesterday from Malta.

A measure considered indispensable by local authorities after the identification of 9 positive passengers at Covid-19. The regional task force, as a precaution, has decided to place all 70 passengers in fiduciary isolation for 14 days, including those with a Green pass, because they are considered to be in close contact with positives.

The news was disseminated by the regional contact for emergencies, Alberto Albani, who wanted the screening service at the airport, then ordered by the governor Marco Marsilio with an ordinance that requires the test to all those arriving from Malta, United Kingdom and Spain.

The prevention service at the airport had started yesterday afternoon. Out of 70 passengers, 65 underwent tests, while the other five refused having the Green Pass, 9 tested positive and they are young, asymptomatic or paucisymptomatic. Other swabs were carried out on passengers on the flight from London this morning.

"The Abruzzo Region and the emergency task force - says Albani - have adopted a measure that goes in the right direction. This operation immediately brought the first results. The virus is returning to important levels of diffusion. As a precaution we have decided to arrange the 14-day fiduciary isolation for all passengers, regardless of the Green pass. Fortunately we were able to intercept the positives immediately. We are trying to nip any outbreaks in the bud. Now the contact tracing activities will start ".
