One year in prison and a 45,000 euro fine.

This is the penalty provided for by the preliminary draft law incorporating the

new provisions announced Monday by Emmanuel Macron

, in the event of a breach of future health pass control obligations.

The fact, for an operator of a place or establishment, the person in charge of an event or an operator of a transport service, of not controlling the detention by the people who wish to access it (of the health pass) is punishable by one year of imprisonment and a fine of 45,000 euros

”, Article 1 states. The offending customer is liable to a fine of 135 euros.

One way for the executive to calm the inclinations of certain restaurant owners, in particular, who wanted to escape the control of the precious sesame.

From July 21, access to theaters and cinema will in fact be conditional on presentation of the health pass.

It will be the same for cafes, restaurants, shopping centers or even trains and planes from August 1, although certain “flexibility” measures will apply for teenagers.

All customers and users from the age of 12 of the places and transport concerned must have their pass, as well as their employees, but not the police or gendarmes.

A reprieve until August 30 has been decided for children aged 12 to 17 and employees.

Dismissal and isolation

The bill also provides that employees subject to compulsory vaccination (nursing staff, in contact with vulnerable populations, firefighters) will no longer be able to carry out their activity in the event of a breach on September 15, and may be dismissed if the situation continues for the next two months.

The text finally provides for isolation of 10 days for positive people with, it is a novelty, checks carried out by the police, directly at the homes of the sick. The project provides for the maintenance of an exit permit between 10 am and 12 noon, as well as possible adaptations concerning "the continuation of family life", "the special condition of minors", or even the case of people whose safety would be threatened. during their isolation. The text must be adopted Monday, July 19 in the Council of Ministers, then examined by the Parliament during the week.

If an Elabe poll published Tuesday shows that the measures announced by Emmanuel Macron are approved by a majority of French people, they were 19,000 demonstrating this Wednesday in the name of "freedom", against vaccination and "dictatorship".

The Interior Ministry has identified 53 demonstrations across the country.

In Paris, several processions brought together 2,250 people at the height of the demonstrations.

But these announcements have also pushed many French people, hitherto hesitant or suspicious, to take the plunge and reserve vaccination slots.

In two days, more than 2 million people have already made appointments online.

Before Mr. Macron's announcements, we were shooting at 500-600 people a day.

Yesterday, in one day, we made 1,100 people.

And there, we are targeting 1,200 people.
