The Paris Bourse was displayed in slight decline (-0.13%) Tuesday morning before the publication of inflation figures for June in the United States, where the banks will also open the ball of the half-year results.

At 9:31 am, the flagship CAC 40 index yielded 8.48 points to 6,550.77 points.

On Monday, it finished up 0.46%.

The New York Stock Exchange saw its main indices ending Monday at new all-time highs.

"Equity indices are not weakening" and "rates are stabilizing," notes Tangi Le Liboux, a strategist with broker Aurel BGC.

"JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and PepsiCo will be the three most important earnings releases of the day, before the opening of Wall Street," he continues.

The US inflation figure, "which will be unveiled at 2:30 p.m., will also be an important meeting point in today's meeting," according to Mr. Le Liboux.

In Germany, the rise in prices did decelerate in June (to 2.3%), while remaining close to its highest in ten years because of energy prices, while it accelerated slightly in France , at 1.5% over one year, continuing its trend of previous months.

China, for its part, experienced a surprise rebound in its exports in June (+ 32.2% over one year), the fastest pace of growth in sales by the Asian giant since April.

In France, growth should stand at 6% in 2021 according to the government's new forecast, Emmanuel Macron said on Monday, announcing a new investment plan for the start of the school year to "build the France of 2030".

The French head of state has also put the unvaccinated under high pressure by imposing the health pass at the entrance of most public places and by making vaccination compulsory for caregivers and those in contact with vulnerable people, sanctions to the key.
