According to Lu Yugang, director of the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, the main tasks of after-school services are comprehensive coverage, time guarantee, quality improvement, and protection.
The guaranteed time is the implementation of the "5+2" model of after-school services, that is, the school shall carry out after-school services 5 days a week, at least 2 hours a day, and the end time shall be in line with the local normal off-duty time.
Improving quality means that on the one hand, students should be instructed to complete their homework carefully, and students who have learning difficulties should be given tutoring and Q&A, so as to expand the learning space for students who have the ability to learn; on the other hand, a variety of literature, sports, and labor reading should be carried out. , Interest groups and club activities, try our best to meet the different needs of students.
However, it is not allowed to use after-school service hours to teach new classes.
