July 13, 2021 Coronavirus infections continue to rise in the United Kingdom and so do the victims. British health authorities today reported 50 new deaths of patients who tested positive for Covid in the past four weeks.
The toll is the heaviest since last June 1, when zero deaths were recorded in the country thanks to the mass vaccination campaign.
The new infections also continue to rise, reaching 36,660 in the last 24 hours, according to the data provided today, it is the Delta variant at the center of the new spread.
According to the latest British government data on the pandemic, 228,189 new cases have been registered in the past seven days, with a weekly increase of 28%. There were also 200 deaths, + 56%, 3,081 people were hospitalized, + 56% also in this case compared to the previous week.
