This weekend, a car collided with a moose on the road between Skogstorp and Stenkvistarondellen outside Eskilstuna.

A young woman died in connection with the accident and the man who drove the car was taken to hospital.

The man was later suspected of causing another person's death and aggravated drunk driving and was arrested by prosecutors.

Awaiting blood test results

The arrest has now been lifted and the man has been set free, says Sofie Eklund, head of the preliminary investigation at the police traffic unit in Eskilstuna.

- There is no reason for him to remain under arrest.

Preliminary test results indicate that he was probably not affected.

According to Sofie Eklund, however, the man is still a suspect until the blood samples that the man has been allowed to submit have been analyzed.
