Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said, in the weekly session of the government, that the Lebanese state is on the verge of collapse, like all countries seized by Iran, as he put it.

Bennett added that Israel is closely following the situation in Lebanon, and said that "it must be realized that the Lebanese are paying a heavy price because of Iran's seizure of their country."

Israeli security sources had warned that the collapse of the system and the economy in Lebanon would bring the confrontation with Israel closer.

And the Israeli news agency "Walla" quoted a security official it described as a senior as saying that the collapse of the Lebanese state strengthens Iran and Hezbollah's control over Lebanon.

He added that Israel sent messages in this regard to the United States, urging it to support the Lebanese army to prevent the collapse of the Lebanese state.

The security source pointed out that the recent period witnessed serious changes in Lebanon, "most notably Hezbollah's continued development of the precision missile project that threatens the home front, power stations and infrastructure in Israel."

He described the matter as very worrying, as it threatens the freedom of movement of the Israeli Air Force.
