Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country is on the verge of entering the world's top club on the political and economic levels.

This came in a press conference after presiding over the government meeting at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

"With the growth rate we will achieve in 2021, we will prove that we are the emerging economy in the world, and that we are approaching our goals step by step," President Erdogan added - in a press conference after chairing the government meeting in the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

In another context, Erdogan said that what he described as the July 15 epic that the Turkish people wrote (the failure of the 2016 coup attempt), is a historical turning point that will be remembered for centuries and lessons will be drawn from.

In other statements, the Turkish president said that points of shame in the history of those who advise Turkey on human rights, democracy and freedom are still emerging one after another.

In a speech delivered during his participation in the Turkey Youth Summit, which was organized at the Presidential Complex in the capital, Ankara, Erdogan said that the Turkish government does not accept that any of the country's youth fall into the clutches of terrorist organizations.

He expressed his confidence in Turkey's youth and their endeavors to contribute to its development, noting that the justice and development governments did not give any opportunity to those who seek to achieve their goals by shedding the blood of young people.
