The protesters tried to enter the back to talk to the leadership of the ruling party, but the police did not allow them to do so.
After that, about 100 of the assembled demonstrators doused the police with red paint, which provoked clashes.
Earlier it was reported that more than 50 journalists were injured during a protest action in Tbilisi.
