Khinshtein spoke about the law regulating the work of IT giants in Russia

“The point is to establish rules for working with foreign resources with a large audience.

This is not about the census, not about the fact that they should get in line or receive a token.

We are talking about creating equal working conditions in the Russian jurisdiction of domestic and foreign IT resources, ”he told RT Arabic.

As Khinshtein noted, large monopoly companies are trying to put pressure on Russia by blocking the accounts of leading journalists on social networks, imposing restrictions on access to YouTube channels for domestic media and their products.

Also, according to him, large Internet resources currently do not respond to the requirements of Roskomnadzor and do not remove prohibited content: propaganda of pedophilia, drugs, terrorism, extremism and adolescent suicide.

Earlier, the State Duma adopted in the third reading a bill, according to which large foreign IT companies will be required to open branches or representative offices in Russia.

At the end of May, Khinshtein said that 20 platforms are included in the preliminary list of Internet resources, the owners of which may be obliged to open branches or representative offices in Russia.
