Al Jalila Foundation, a member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, announced that the amount of donations directed to the establishment of the Hamdan bin Rashid Charitable Hospital for Cancer Patients, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Last April, in commemoration of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to provide free medical and treatment care to cancer patients who are unable in the country, in less than three months it reached 300 million dirhams, out of the total investments targeted for the first hospital. of its kind in the UAE, amounting to 750 million dirhams.

The second group of donors included: the Investment Corporation of Dubai, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, the Endowment and Minors Affairs Foundation, the Dubai Islamic Bank, the Union Cooperative, the Dar Al Ber Society, and the family of the late Fardan bin Ali Al Fardan.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Jalila Foundation, affirmed the Foundation’s pride in its role in supporting the health care system, which is witnessing continuous development in light of the leadership’s great interest in the health of society with all its components. Hamdan Bin Rashid Charitable Hospital for Cancer Patients will be built on an area of ​​50,000 square meters, with a capacity of 250 beds.

The Al Jalila Foundation hospital will be established in two phases, the first phase is expected to be completed in 2023, and will include 150 beds equipped with the latest technologies, and the hospital’s total capacity will reach 30,000 patients annually with the completion of the second phase.
