“Collecting milk and octopus and students committing suicide” .. The Egyptian Minister of Education reveals the facts of the Arab exam for high school

The Minister of Education in Egypt, Dr. Tarek Shawky, published a number of reflections on the high school exams after the first day of them.

According to Al-Masry Al-Youm, Shawky said in a post on his Facebook page under the title Reflections (1): Let us think for a few minutes who makes a rumor such as “collecting milk” after the exam and how hundreds poured out insulting the ministry and negative calls without verifying the information. Why is he making such a rumor?

The reason is clear and it is to export a general opinion against development to go back and demolish everything for the sake of the gains from the old miserable regime.

Shawky continued in “Reflections (2)”: entitled “Suicides come back to life.” He said: Posts spread on the social media confirming the suicide of these young people for their inability to answer the Arabic exam without any post mentioning the name of any of them, their school, or even the city in which they reside. Then everyone was surprised that some of them made sarcastic comments on the posts confirming their suicide.

It is unfortunate that some journalists race to comment as if it were true and contribute to creating a public opinion of the difficulty of exams - just like the previous example of “what collected milk” and “what collected octopus”?

Shawky said, under the title Reflections (3): Was anyone who claimed that the Arabic exam for the scientific division had been “leaked” and published before the exam was truthful?

Did those who paid him find out that he was a fraud?

He asked: “Do you know that there are those who claim to have the Arabic exam for the Literary Division and published it as well, while it is a forgery and from last year?”

And he continued, "Did you know that whoever published that he had the Arab test since yesterday, and at 4:58 am, he used Photoshop to make this picture?"

He stressed, "We have received thousands of questions and criticisms, as if the exam had actually leaked, despite the complete forgery and slander."

Shawqi appealed to the parents, saying: I hope that we understand what we read on the websites, because there are those who exploit the anxiety and tension of parents to incite them against the state and the new regime, and I leave you to reflect on these remarks.
