Russian President Vladimir Putin listened by phone to a report by the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Alexei Teksler, on the situation with wildfires in the region.

According to the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov, Texler informed the president about the evacuation of more than 100 children from the health camp and boarding school due to the threat of fire.

"Putin instructed Teksler to formulate proposals for the restoration of citizens' housing, lost as a result of wildfires," said Peskov.

In addition, Vladimir Putin ordered to send the children evacuated from the affected area for summer vacations on the Black Sea coast.

He gave the corresponding instructions to the government, the presidential administration and the administration of the Kremlin.

In turn, the Sochi authorities announced their readiness to take on vacation children evacuated during the fires.
