According to Japanese media reports, the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced on the 10th that the baseball and softball games held at the Fukushima Azuma Stadium will not allow spectators to enter the stadium.

During the Tokyo Olympics, there are only 26 games held in Miyagi, Ibaraki (only for school cooperation), and Shizuoka with spectators, accounting for about 3.5% of the total time.

The Olympic Organizing Committee stated that it had “confirmed the intention” with the three counties again on the 10th, and there will be no further changes.

In order to control the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the Japanese government decided to issue an emergency declaration to Tokyo for the fourth time.

The Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee decided in a five-party meeting held with the International Olympic Committee and other relevant parties on the 8th that Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, and Chiba will be held empty, while Fukushima, Hokkaido, Miyagi, Ibaraki and Shizuoka will be held with spectators.

However, Hokkaido was worried about the spread of the epidemic caused by spectators traveling from the metropolitan area to and from Hokkaido. It suddenly decided on the 9th that spectators were banned from entering the football match held at the Sapporo Dome Stadium.

For venues held under spectators and sold tickets "more than half of the stadium capacity and no more than 10,000 people", the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced the results of the ticket draw again in the early morning of the 10th.

The softball opener to be held in Fukushima on the 21st and the baseball opener on the 28th are also within the scope of another draw.

Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee spokesperson Masaze Takatani said at the press conference, "I am deeply sorry that I failed to respond to the expectations of the audience. I am very sorry to announce such news just after the ticket draw again."

Up to now, in the 750 time slots of the Tokyo Olympics, there are 724 periods without spectators and only 26 periods with spectators, accounting for about 3.5% of the total.
