July 10, 2021 Seven people reported and one arrest: this is the result of investigations conducted by the State Police to combat online child pornography. In particular, the Naples State Police denounced 7 people held responsible for the detention and disclosure of child pornography material. The investigation activity, coordinated by the Postal and Communications Police Service of Rome - National Center for the Fight against Online Child Pornography (Cncpo) and directed by the Naples prosecutor's office, arose in the context of international police cooperation from a report of the Canadian collateral for the exchange of pornographic material produced through the sexual exploitation of minors, which took place on a well-known instant messaging app.

The investigations, carried out by the Postal Police of Naples, through the analysis of computer traces, made it possible to identify 7 people residing in the provinces of Naples, Rome and Foggia. Following the searches carried out at the homes of the suspects, numerous devices were seized in which images and videos relating to child abuse and violence were found.

Furthermore, the investigators of the Postal Police of Naples, as part of a similar investigation activity, arrested a foreign citizen residing in the province of Cosenza, for detaining child pornography found online and exchanged with other users.
