A man was arrested this Saturday at the beginning of the afternoon at the Claye-Souilly shopping center (Seine-et-Marne) after having seriously wounded with a knife two sellers of a Bouygues Telecom store, killing one and seriously injuring the other, reported the prosecution and police sources.

One of the victims died and the other was taken to hospital in serious condition, said Meaux prosecutor Laureline Peyrefitte, who will attend the scene.

The vendors "received stab wounds in the heart," a police source reported.

The individual was arrested by a police officer and a prison officer, both off duty, who were in the shopping center at the time of the facts.

"We would be on the trade dispute, there is no notion of terrorism or previous dispute," said this source, adding that the "incident is over".

According to another police source, the 62-year-old suspect was unhappy with the overcharging of his phone.

For the purposes of the investigation, the police evacuated the Claye-Souilly shopping center.

The Seine-et-Marne prefecture called on Twitter to avoid the area.
