A new drug extends life .. the US army is testing "capsules"

The US Army has begun testing a new drug to extend life and delay aging in cooperation with the Metro International Biochem Laboratory. The new drug, in the form of "capsules," boosts levels of a compound called nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), which converts food into energy.

According to the newspaper "Daily Mail", the drug was developed from birth control pills and aims to improve human performance.

Animal studies have shown that increased levels of NAD+ can extend the life of mice and worms and aid in cell regeneration.

Clinical trials are expected to begin next year, and if successful, the drug can be used to delay aging, leading to longer life and preventing or reducing the effects of aging.

The laboratory explained that it is focusing on pharmaceuticals that enhance nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD +), noting that pre-clinical studies for safety and dosing have been completed.
