A Gulf woman was imprisoned for 6 months at her home for assaulting two policewomen

The Fujairah Court of Appeals sentenced a Gulf woman to six months in prison by applying the electronic police monitoring system to her in her home in one of the areas of the Emirate of Fujairah by installing an electronic bracelet and fined her 5,000 dirhams for convicting her of two charges of assaulting security men by beating them, resisting them with violence, coffee and insulting them.

The accused was referred to the Fujairah Appeals Court, accused of assaulting two policewomen, beating them and resisting them with violence and force, and insulting us with words that offend our honor, while performing our job, which led to our injury.

The appellant (the accused) denied before the court the charges against her, which are the felony of assaulting two female employees while performing their job, and the misdemeanor of insult.

Meanwhile, the lawyer assigned to one of the victims, Amna Al-Zaabi, demanded that the accused be inflicted with the maximum penalty for deliberately assaulting the victim while performing her work, and a fine of 51,000 dirhams.

Al-Zaabi stated in her defense memorandum that the facts of the incident take place in that the appellant (the accused) assaulted the victim during and because of the performance of her job duties, as she works as a first policeman in the General Administration of Fujairah Police. She also directly attacked the victim by hitting the victim in the Fujairah Court building, which led to her falling from the Then she sustained the injuries described in the medical examination form, in addition to the appellant's insulting of her client in a way that offends her honor and directed insults at the victim.

And she added that the appellant filmed the victim without the legally authorized conditions and slapped the victim in the face after she was assigned by the President of the Court of Appeal to bring her to the hall, in addition to some of her and pushed her from the elevator while she was descending, and then she fled outside the Dar building The judiciary in Fujairah, which requires the support of the Public Prosecution in its requests to impose the maximum penalty on the accused.

In addition, the other victim, who works as a policeman (37 years), stated that she was at the head of her work in the police department of the Judicial Department in Fujairah when she was assigned to go to one of the officials’ offices to deal with a Gulf woman, and when she arrived, the official asked her to drop the accused with her, but the accused attacked She pushed her hard, and she fell, and her back hit the chair, which led to her injury, stressing that she not only hit her, but insulted her with insulting words.
