  This is the first time that Jimei University, a century-old overseas Chinese school, presents Mr. Jiageng's life deeds in the form of a musical repertoire.

  "Overseas Chinese Leader Tan Kah Kee" was carefully crafted by masters, students, and alumni for a year. It is based on the magnificent rise of China, with a magnificent chorus as the background, and Mr. Kah Kee's life trajectory as the main line. Mr. Nanyang started a business, started a school to save the country, supported the War of Resistance, and celebrated the birth and development of New China.

  Throughout the glorious life of Mr. Jiageng, the whole play reviews the moving journey of Mr. Jiageng and the Communist Party of China walking in the same direction and fulfilling the dream of national rejuvenation.

  A related person from Jimei University said that the play also hired outside professional editors, industry experts, visiting professors, and alumni to participate in the construction of the project.

  According to Luo Jichao, the composer of the repertoire and a guest professor at the Conservatory of Music, the works incorporate the tone of Taiwanese opera and the accent of Mandarin, full of strong southern Fujian characteristics, and the style is magnificent and tearful.

  The school stated that it hopes to make the play a masterpiece of campus art and culture, and to better pass on the spirit of Jiageng.
