The alarm was received at half past six on Thursday morning after neighbors discovered the fire.

According to the rescue service, it must have started to burn sometime during the night.

- We're investigating if anyone has been there.

It's gone so far we can not get into the house.

It is too dangerous, said Johan Ytterby's internal commander at Norra Älvsborg's rescue service, at half past seven.

The police's press spokesperson, Peter Adlersson, states at lunchtime that they have still not found accommodation in the house.

It is said to be about three adults, and who is now feared may have been in the house when the fire started.

Preliminary investigation initiated

It is still unclear what started the fire, and according to Adlersson, it is too early to say if any crime has been committed.

The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into a serious arson and blocked off the site in order to investigate the matter.

At 11 o'clock, the rescue service was still left for firefighting work.
