China News Service, July 8th. According to the website of the Ministry of Education, the enrollment work of ordinary colleges and universities is about to begin in 2021. Some lawbreakers use the nervousness of candidates and parents waiting for admission information to set up "enrollment traps" to lure candidates and parents.

The Ministry of Education once again reminded the majority of candidates and parents that only those whose scores in the college entrance examination meet the requirements for admission to colleges and universities will be admitted to colleges. Don't be lucky, don't believe false rumors, clearly identify fraud tricks, and avoid being deceived.

The following are common forms of fraud and typical cases.

—— Lie that "you can buy university places with money"

[Case] On May 30, 2020, the victim, Chen Moumou, met a man named Lu Mochao on a website. The man claimed that he could help the victim's children enroll in a better school.

Through many online contacts, Chen Moumou believed Lu Moumou's lie.

After that, Chen Moumou paid 78,000 yuan to Lu Mouchao. Not only did he fail to be admitted, but he lost money.

On October 8, the police arrested the suspect Lu Mouchao.

[Reminder] During the college entrance examination admission period, some criminals often use the mentality of parents to hope that their children will become dragons and women will become phoenixes. By forging documents, privately engraving seals, setting up registration offices and consulting telephones, etc., impersonating college admissions officers, relatives of school leaders, etc , Falsely claiming that he has the "internal indicators", "mobile plans", "targeted enrollment plans", "low scores and high records" and "recruitment" of colleges and universities, and other implementation frauds.

The Ministry of Education’s “Thirty Nos” ban clearly requires that the enrollment scale of colleges and universities shall not be expanded or the enrollment plan shall not be adjusted without authorization, enrollment shall not be carried out without a plan or break through the scale of the plan without authorization, or the plan shall be adjusted in violation of plan management requirements. Procedures or lower standards outside of the policy to release candidate files to relevant colleges and universities, and must not violate the prescribed admission procedures to lower the standards to admit candidates or refuse to admit qualified candidates.

There are no so-called "internal indicators" in the admission process of the college entrance examination.

Candidates and their parents should be highly vigilant of such fraudulent information that "you can buy college places with money", understand and confirm exam enrollment policies and information from regular channels, and don't be fooled by credulity.

——Intentionally confuse academic education with non-academic education

[Case] Xie found his son's poor college entrance examination results and found Liu to handle admissions to a well-known X university.

Liu said that by paying 485,000 yuan through third-party channels, he can enter X University Business School.

In mid-September, Liu gave the admission notice of X University's Human Resource Management Advanced Seminar to Xie, and said that he actually enrolled in the Business School of X University, and the notice was a pretext for the school's fear of influence.

Accompanied by Liu, Xie went to the International Exchange Center of X University to pay tuition fees of 52,000 yuan to the staff, and then found out that he was studying in a short-term training class and dropped out.

Liu refused to refund the money and was later sentenced to 8 years in prison.

[Reminder] In recent years, some criminals or intermediaries have deliberately confused the difference between academic qualifications and non-academic education, deceiving candidates and their parents with admission notices such as self-study classes, online education classes, and cooperative education.

Some educational institutions actually recruit non-academic education students under the guise of academic education.

Different types of enrollment have different admission requirements.

Ordinary higher education students must pass the college entrance examination and enrollment.

The so-called "admission notice" mentioned above is not the admission notice of ordinary colleges and universities recognized by the state, and the electronic registration of new students cannot be carried out after "entry", let alone the graduation certificate of ordinary colleges and universities.
