The staffing problems this summer are so great that right now there are many shifts that could not be filled with staff.
"Sick of all stress"
The care association and Kommunal's safety representatives believe that there is an imbalance between requirements and resources and that there is a great risk to occupational health.
- We have thirteen dissatisfaction dismissals from the department and we believe that there may be more if the region cannot present rapid measures.
Another major risk is that our members become ill from all the stress at work because the situation in the ward is alarming, says Vårdförrbundet's chief safety representative Elisabeth Lindblad.
"Members run out"
On Friday, the Swedish Work Environment Authority will carry out a digital inspection of the business and its pointed out shortcomings.
- Our members are exhausted and many do not have the strength to work in these extremely pressured situations.
We can really hope that the inspection leads to something positive, says Elisabeth Lindblad.
