The National Police have arrested five members

band the

Samuelillo

by committing hundred landings in several provinces since early this year. Two of them are also accused of trying to murder a 32-year-old man in a hairdresser in the Madrid neighborhood of Villaverde because he flirted on social networks with the girlfriend of one of its members.

The five arrested add up to 208 arrests

and two of them have entered prison:

Samuelillo

and

Menasalvas

.

The leader of the gang, Samuel ER, 29 years old and known as

Samuelillo,

has

14 antecedents

, according to police sources have informed Efe. Among those arrested is also known as Manuel Díaz

Menasalvas

, a

lieutenant of the

Goyito

gang

who

was

already

detained in March by the National Police

for perpetrating robberies on demand and who has already been arrested 110 times.

Those arrested

lived as squatters

in the southern part of the region and Toledo and changed homes every so often to try to evade police surveillance.

The detainees not only operated in the Community of Madrid but also in the rest of the Spanish geography, mainly in Cáceres and Toledo.

The group consisted of five young Spaniards between 24 and 33 years old, all of them

highly specialized in moon landings.

Investigators focused on the gang in early January when they committed two nocturnal robberies by the moon landing method in

Madrid shopping centers.

They used high-end stolen vehicles and acted at dawn taking advantage of the curfew.

In parallel, in April, two of the members, aboard a stolen car, robbed

a hairdresser

in the Villaverde district of Madrid and shot a client in the leg while cutting his hair.

The inquiries of the agents found that the motive for the assault was a settling of accounts motivated by

sentimental reasons

.

The injured man had leaked on Instagram with the girlfriend of one of the members of the band, who he challenged to go to the hairdresser.

Modus operandi

They subtracted high-powered cars from which they

exchanged the license plates

for other duplicates of vehicles of the same make and model to make the investigation more difficult or to sell them on the illegal market.

Once the thefts were committed, they reinstalled the original plates, thus making their identification very laborious.

In addition, they adopted

numerous security measures such

as hiding their faces, wearing gloves or not spending the night more than two nights in the same house, with almost all homes being occupied floors.

The arrests took place at the end of May.

Samuelillo's

arrest

took place when he was driving a powerful car with which he repeatedly attacked police vehicles, causing extensive damage to them.

After trying to break through and flee, he was arrested,

injuring several officers

.

This group is accused of being involved in

73 criminal acts such

as belonging to a criminal organization, theft of vehicles, falsification of documents, damages, attack on an agent of the authority, theft of license plates, theft, fraud and crime against security vial.

In the two searches carried out, the agents intervened items of clothing used in the robberies and a cartridge of identical characteristics to the one used in the

attempted murder

.

They also managed to intervene 35 vehicles, almost all of those stolen.
