- You can see this work as the start of realistic drawing during the Renaissance, says Gaida Damen, art specialist at the auction house Christie's in New York.
The bear's head was drawn by Leonardo da Vinci in 1480. Despite its enormous value, the artwork measures just under 7 square centimeters.
And the bear is believed to break sales records with a presumed final price of between 11 and 16 million dollars, just over 137 million Swedish kronor.
