This weekend, the Falsterbo Horse Show kicks off and the event will draw 500 visitors a day for eight days.

Already a month ago, the organizers contacted the county administrative board to clarify what applies regarding infectious distance between spectators in the stands.

On Friday, they were suddenly informed that the calculations on the stands do not meet the requirements of a meter distance.

- We have measured from head to head and come to the conclusion that it is one meter, but if you measure from knee to head it will only be 75 centimeters and that is what the county administrative board has done, Jan Wannius explains.

"Enormous extra work"

As the seats allocated on the tickets do not meet the distance requirements, the organizer will bring in several guards who will distribute the seats once the visitors arrive.

- People come on full trains from all over Sweden, take full buses here and can go to the fair here next door without restrictions.

But as soon as they get up on the big stands, it's rock hard, says Jan Wannius.

The County Administrative Board visits again

Måns Berger is an administrator at the county administrative board and was on site on Wednesday to review the stands and the organizer's solution - which they see as satisfactory.

- We have had a discussion about how to organize the stands and how to place the people in the stands and now I understand that they have presented a solution where there are conditions for an infectious event, says Måns Berger.
