The Indonesian government has said that vaccination will be completed when foreigners leave the country due to the worsening infection situation of the new coronavirus, but the policy was changed at the request of the Japanese embassy, and the capital Jakarta Foreigners living in and around the country will not seek vaccination if they leave the airport in the suburbs.

However, Japanese people who travel long distances by the time they arrive at the airport cannot leave the country unless vaccination has been completed, so the Japanese embassy will continue to offer to allow such Japanese people to leave the country. ..

In Indonesia, in response to the rapid spread of infection such as the spread of the mutant virus "Delta strain" confirmed in India, vaccination has been completed both when foreigners enter and leave the country from the 6th. I decided to ask for it.

Regarding this, the local Japanese embassy has requested the Indonesian government to consider the situation, saying that Japanese who are returning to Japan and trying to receive vaccination will not be able to leave the country.

As a result, the answer was that foreigners living in and around the capital Jakarta are currently the only foreigners who do not require vaccination when departing from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport near Jakarta, where Japanese flights depart. about it.

However, Japanese people who travel long distances within the country by the time they arrive at the airport will not be allowed to leave the country unless vaccination has been completed.

For this reason, the Embassy of Japan will continue to offer to allow such Japanese departures.
