Haitian authorities say the country's president was killed by a group of foreigners

The country has entered a "state of siege" for a period of 15 days to ensure the capture of criminals, the office said in a statement.

On July 7, it became known that the President of Haiti was fatally wounded in an attack on his residence.

A state of emergency has been declared in the country.

The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed condolences to the people and government of Haiti.
