  • Demonstrations Thousands of people demand justice for Samuel, the young man who was killed in a beating in La Coruña, in several cities of the country

Hundreds of protesters who have participated in the rally in Puerta del Sol for the murder of the 24-year-old Samuel are leading an attempt to clash in Argüelles against the National Police who are trying to evict them from the public thoroughfare.

The riot police have surrounded the concentrates at the intersection between

Alberto Aguilera and Princesa

streets

,

which means that they cannot continue their march to Moncloa or to Plaza de España.

Likewise, police charges have been registered against some of the protesters.

They continue to chant the slogans that have been heard throughout the mobilization that began at 8:00 p.m. in Puerta del Sol. Specifically, they are emphasizing that justice be done, the motto of the convocation, and they have continued to emphasize that

"Samuel was killed."

'For Samuel, you will not move us' is another of the demands that the protesters who remain in the mobilization are crying out after touring Preciados and Gran Vía streets towards the Ministry of Justice, where they have starred in

a second sit-in.

CONCENTRATION

Between flags of the LGTBI collective and banners with messages such as 'Anyone of us could be Samuel', the concentration began in Puerta del Sol where the congregation

kept silence for the young man,

whom they also remembered amid applause and crying.

Minutes later, the center of the square has hosted the reading of a manifesto that several people from the organization have read.

"They have killed Samuel for being a fag (...)

We are still a piece of meat on which any violence can be exercised,"

they assured.

They have also transferred their fear because, in their words, by the fact of existing they are

"questioned, silenced and assaulted."

However, they have claimed to have something "even stronger than all that: rage."

After reading the words in tribute to the young man who closed the rally in the mythical Madrid square, they moved to

Plaza España, where they staged a sit-in,

causing traffic cuts as they passed along Gran Vía.

Likewise, the attendees have traveled

to the Ministry of Justice after 9:15 p.m.,

where they have read a second manifesto in which they have emphasized that "Samuel's murder was not a coincidence, but was because he had an identity" : "With only 24 years old he received a brutal beating at the door of a nightclub in A Coruña to the shout of 'fagot'".

At around 10:00 pm, people were still standing at the gates of the Ministry directed by Juan Carlos Campo, where a

police cordon

has been set up

with about twenty troops.

After this stop, they

have continued towards Argüelles,

where they are now.
