When completed, it will accommodate 140 students, from preschool up to sixth grade, against the current 100. The current school is in poor condition, which means that the environment for students and staff has serious shortcomings.
The older school building will be demolished and replaced by the new building.
- It is gratifying that Vingåker municipality is investing in a small rural school, says the children and education committee's chairman Ing-Marie Frössevi (C).
The building with sports hall and dining room as well as a pavilion will remain.
